Nets are an important part of amateur radio. It's important that amateur operators check in to nets on a regular bases. Nets insure that the amateur operator's equipment is operating properly. Nets teach the amateur operator about the capabilities of their equipment and station location. How to operate in a organized net group. etc... There are many benefits to participating in amateur radio nets. But most of all, they keep you informed about the amateur community and keeps your operating skills ready. Clinton County ARES nets are listed below.

The Weekly ARES Net is on Thursdays at 7:00 PM on Clyclone Repeater 147.045

Skywarn Weather Nets are on the C.C.A.R.C. Repeater on 146.610

Emergency Skywarn nets are activated whenever sever weather threatens Clinton County. SKYWARN nets are generally activated when a severe thunderstorm warning or tornado warning is issued for Clinton County by the National Weather Service. Skywarn nets can also be activated by a request from Central Indiana Skywarn or local government agencies. Other special nets will be activated when the need arises for public safety.
