Nets are an important part of amateur radio. It's important that amateur operators check in to nets on a regular bases. Nets insure that the amateur operator's equipment is operating properly. Nets teach the amateur operator about the capabilities of their equipment and station location. How to operate in a organized net group. etc... The Weekly ARES Net is on Thursdays at 7:00 PM on Clyclone Repeater 147.045

Skywarn Weather Nets are on the C.C.A.R.C. Repeater on 146.610

Emergency Skywarn nets are activated whenever sever weather threatens Clinton County. SKYWARN nets are generally activated when a severe thunderstorm warning or tornado warning is issued for Clinton County by the National Weather Service. Skywarn nets can also be activated by a request from Central Indiana Skywarn or local government agencies. Other special nets will be activated when the need arises for public safety.
